Mayor Ciprian Ciucu announced that the initiative aims to phase out older, more polluting cars, with specific restrictions set for different vehicle categories each year. The proposal includes a program to replace heating systems that use solid fuels, targeting around 15,000 households for transition to cleaner heating solutions by 2030. The mayor emphasized the health impacts of air pollution, particularly on children, and called for a commitment to improving the city's environmental standards.
