The Bucharest City Hall has extended support for families affected by the Rahova explosion for another year, providing assistance for rent payments until October. Currently, 43 families benefit from this aid, which can be in the form of direct rent reimbursement or cash. Additionally, an evaluation of the entire building and nearby properties is underway, with specialists set to inspect around 270 apartments. Access to homes is mandatory for the evaluation, and refusal may limit future compensation claims. Safety works are expected to last 50 days, allowing residents to retrieve their belongings afterward.
