Ploșnițele au ajuns în ședința de azi a CGMB. Nu personal, ci ca mare problemă a Bucureștiului. Cazuri de infestare în licee, spitale, autobuze, chiar și la metrou • Viața în București
An increasing number of Bucharest residents are facing bedbug infestations in public transport, institutions, and homes. During a recent city council meeting, councilor Naomi Reniuț raised concerns about the growing issue and called for preventive measures. Currently, the city's pest control plan addresses other pests but lacks specific strategies for bedbugs. Reniuț urged the need for a protocol to combat these parasites, highlighting the urgency given the city's status as a European capital. The president of the meeting confirmed that the inquiry would be forwarded to the relevant authorities and Eco Igienizare, the pest control company. Reports of infestations have emerged from various locations, including Metrorex and local schools, prompting temporary closures and online classes. The situation is complicated by the challenges of effective pest control, which is often lengthy and costly.
