The Culture Minister confirmed the resignation, which follows media reports revealing a parallel ticket selling scheme. Despite attempts to implement automated solutions, the fraudulent network adapted quickly. The situation led to two criminal cases involving bribery and embezzlement, with one being handled by the National Anticorruption Directorate. Ion's management position weakened after receiving a low evaluation score, preventing direct renewal of his mandate without a competition.
