Those opting for postal payments will receive their funds starting August 10, while benefits for individuals with disabilities will be disbursed from August 14. Other social assistance payments will commence on August 20, 2026. Approximately 8 million people currently receive social assistance in Romania, totaling nearly 3 billion lei monthly.
