Founded in 2020 by Shayne Coplan, the platform quickly attracted significant investment, including a $55 million round in 2024 and a $150 million round in 2025. In October 2025, Intercontinental Exchange announced a $2 billion investment, raising the platform's valuation to nearly $8 billion.
