Platforma Booking.com, investigată de Comisia Europeană. Vizate: anunțurile false și reclamele

The European Commission has launched an official investigation into Booking.com to assess its measures against fraudulent listings and phishing attempts. The inquiry aims to determine if the platform adequately identifies and mitigates consumer risks as per the Digital Services Act. Key concerns include fake listings, identity theft, and compliance with accommodation regulations. The Commission is also examining data protection practices related to booking information shared with accommodation providers, which could be exploited for phishing. Additionally, the investigation will evaluate whether users are clearly informed about paid promotional listings on the platform. The investigation does not imply any proven legal violations yet.
