The Romanian Federation of Transport Operators (FORT) and IMM ROMÂNIA are urging the Parliament to urgently reintroduce a bill that caps the profit margin on diesel fuel. The initiative, which also extends the state of oil crisis until March 31, 2027, was withdrawn from the final vote. Delays in adopting this measure could lead to increased transport and production costs, affecting consumer prices. FORT emphasizes that every day without a real cap on diesel margins results in additional costs for transporters and consumers. The bill aims to include refiners and importers in the cap to effectively limit fuel price increases. Both organizations stress the need for predictable measures to support small and medium enterprises across various sectors.
