The Ministry of Finance proposes new thresholds for public procurement, allowing direct assignments for works up to €180,000. This change aims to align with European directives and inflation rates, impacting local budgets and companies. The new limits simplify bureaucracy for small and medium contracts but may reduce open bidding and increase risks of preferential allocations. Direct procurement thresholds are set at €54,024 for products and €180,080 for works, while higher thresholds for mandatory open tenders are also revised.
