Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) is now approximately 20 billion euros after reducing loans and reallocating projects to cohesion funds. Minister Dragoș Pîslaru discussed the integrity law and conditions for accessing PNRR funds, emphasizing the need for constitutional compliance. The country has renegotiated project completion criteria for more flexibility, allowing partial acceptance of investments. Additionally, Romania has significantly reduced the loan component of the PNRR to about 6.8 billion euros, impacting the budget deficit. Key projects, including hospitals and highways, have been shifted to cohesion funding, explaining the current PNRR value.
