Pisici cu microfoane în urechi și emițătoare sub piele, trimise în misiuni de spionaj. Proiectul secret al CIA
In 1964, the CIA initiated a project called Acoustic Kitty, aiming to use cats as spies by implanting microphones in them. However, controlling the cats proved challenging, leading to the project's failure. A notable incident involved a cat reportedly being hit by a taxi during its first mission, although the CIA denied this. The agency concluded that while cats could be trained for short distances, they could not be reliably controlled in real missions. Additionally, the CIA explored using dolphins for underwater espionage through the OXYGAS project, which aimed to train them to place listening devices on enemy ships. Although the project showed promise, it was ultimately discontinued in 1970, with the U.S. Navy continuing similar research today.
