Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Indian pilot Captain Sumit Machchhar for his bravery during a terrorist attack on a Flydubai flight. Despite being stabbed by his co-pilot, Machchhar managed to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers to subdue the attacker and prevent a disaster. The incident, labeled a terrorist attack by Israel's Foreign Ministry, targeted Israeli citizens and the Abraham Accords. The pilot is currently hospitalized in stable condition. Following the attack, Flydubai flights to Israel were suspended for six days, and Israel plans to enhance security checks on pilots flying to its territory. The co-pilot, described as a religious extremist, attempted to crash the plane in Israel.
