Pilotul Radu Benea, la un pas să devină campion național la viteză în coastă pentru al doilea an consecutiv

Timisoara pilot Radu Benea aims for a second consecutive national title in the National Hill Climb Championship, needing a second place in the final two races. The Mediaș Cup this weekend is crucial, where he holds the course record. With 65 competitors, Benea leads the tourism category with 136 points, ahead of Costel Cășuneanu and Lucian Răduț. A second-place finish in Mediaș or Poiana Brașov will secure his championship. Last year, he ended Alexandru Pițigoi's three-year reign and set a course record of 1:29.812. Nicolas Benea, the reigning junior champion, also competes for Group 3 title, closely trailing the leaders.
