The National Museum of Art of Romania hosts an exhibition featuring 50 textile pieces from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, showcasing global costumes from the last two centuries. Curated by Dr. Florica Zaharia and architect Teodor Frolu, this temporary exhibition allows visitors to appreciate the intricate details of each textile. The museum, founded in 2017, boasts over 14,000 textile objects, with a significant portion representing Romanian textile art. The collection continues to grow through acquisitions and donations, including a notable contribution from The Met, comprising 1,871 artifacts from nearly 100 cultures.
