Piața muncii din România în 2026: Bătaie mare pe fiecare job scos la concurs, pe fondul scăderii numărului de locuri de muncă
The Romanian job market in the first half of 2026 shows a decline in job postings but a significant increase in applications, indicating heightened competition among candidates. Approximately 110,000 new jobs were posted, 15% less than in 2025, while applications surged by 27% to over 6.7 million, the highest in five years. Notably, candidates over 45 and teenagers are increasingly active in job searches, seeking better financial stability and experience. Retail remains the sector with the most applications, followed by services and food industry. The competition for each job is intense, averaging 61 applications per position.
