The global bond market reached $160.7 trillion in 2025, with the US, EU, and China holding over 75% of it. The US leads with $61.2 trillion, followed by the EU at $31.1 trillion and China at $28.7 trillion. The US market is nearly double that of the EU and larger than the combined markets of the EU and China. China's bond market has significantly grown from $7.8 trillion in 2015 to $28.7 trillion in 2025, increasing its global share. Despite the US market's growth, its global share decreased from 40% to 38.1%, while China's share rose to 17.9%. This indicates a gradual shift in the global market structure.
