Piața auto s-a prăbușit în iulie 2026. Vânzările de mașinile noi au scăzut cu 28%. Electricele cresc spectaculos

The Romanian new car market saw a significant decline in July 2026, with registrations down 28% compared to July 2025. Despite this, electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles experienced remarkable growth. The total number of new cars registered was 11,633, maintaining a 5.5% decrease for the year. SUVs dominated the market, making up over half of the new registrations. Diesel cars faced a 50% drop, while electrified vehicles reached a 60% market share. Tesla led the electric vehicle sales, with the Model Y showing a 341% increase. The market remains vulnerable, highlighting the need for stable public policies to support the transition to low-emission technologies.
