In the first eight months of 2026, Dacia Sandero remains the best-selling car in Europe, while Tesla Model Y leads electric vehicle sales. August saw Volkswagen T-Roc as the top seller, followed closely by Sandero and Volkswagen Golf. Cumulatively, Sandero sold 145,424 units, despite an 11% decline. Golf and T-Roc followed, with slight increases and decreases respectively. Tesla Model Y, with a significant 51% increase, secured its position as the top electric vehicle, despite fluctuations in monthly rankings.
