Petrotel Lukoil confirmă decizia de intrare în insolvență, însă asigură că va continua activitatea și va proteja locurile de muncă

Petrotel Lukoil has confirmed its decision to enter insolvency while prioritizing the protection of jobs and the continuation of operations. The company believes that insolvency can provide the necessary legal framework to safeguard its industrial assets and resume operations despite U.S. sanctions. Petrotel aims to protect its workforce, maintain relationships with local partners, and contribute to Romania's energy security. The refinery, which accounts for 21% of the national fuel production, has been inactive since October 2025 due to international sanctions against Russia. The government has implemented extended oversight measures for Lukoil's assets in Romania.
