The majority of these debts are owed to its main shareholder, Litasco, which provided loans to support operations. The court has admitted various claims, including secured and unsecured debts, with a significant portion being unverified claims from suppliers. The refinery, a major player in Romania's oil industry, has been inactive since maintenance work ended last October. The insolvency procedure aims to protect its assets and workforce while seeking a way to restart operations amid international sanctions against its Russian parent company. A creditors' meeting is scheduled for October 3, with the finalization of the claims table set for October 23, 2026.
