OMV Petrom is advancing the construction of a sustainable fuel production unit at Petrobrazi, with an investment of 560 million euros. This facility will produce 250,000 tons of sustainable aviation fuel and diesel annually from renewable sources, significantly reducing emissions in hard-to-electrify sectors. The project includes the installation of major processing equipment and aims for completion by 2028. Additionally, OMV Petrom is developing green hydrogen production capabilities at the site, with investments totaling around 190 million euros. The company remains a leading energy producer in Southeast Europe, with extensive refining and distribution operations.
