The LPG Gas Lisbon tanker was struck outside Romania's territorial waters while heading to Ukraine. All 17 crew members were rescued, with three injured. President Nicușor Dan suggested the incident may be linked to the ongoing war initiated by Russia. The Romanian Naval Authority confirmed the incident occurred approximately 20 nautical miles from the Romanian coast. The Maritime Rescue Coordination Center coordinated the rescue operation, deploying search and rescue vessels. A tugboat is monitoring the tanker to prevent further hazards.
