Petrișor Peiu: Stat mai gras și industrie în declin
Petrișor Peiu, leader of AUR senators, critiques Romania's last 20 years, highlighting severe industrial decline and increased public administration costs. He notes that industry’s share of GDP fell from 28.1% in 2006 to 18.6% in 2025, marking a significant deindustrialization. Peiu attributes this decline to high energy prices and criticizes past governments for failing to reindustrialize while expanding public administration. He argues that the current political leadership has driven away qualified professionals, leading to detrimental economic policies.
