This achievement comes less than four months into his administration. Magyar emphasized the completion of necessary reforms by the August 31 deadline, allowing for potential access to around €10 billion from the Recovery and Resilience Facility. However, the European Commission must still verify the reforms before funds can be released. The funds were previously blocked due to concerns over corruption and judicial independence during Viktor Orbán's government. The new government aims to improve relations with the EU and secure these financial resources.
