Peştera Vjetrenica din Bosnia, inclusă în patrimoniul UNESCO, oferă răcoare în timpul valului de căldură

In southern Bosnia, tourists are seeking refuge from extreme heat in the Vjetrenica cave, a UNESCO site with a constant temperature of 11 degrees Celsius. The cave, known for its biodiversity, limits visitor numbers to protect its environment. During summer, more than half of the 21,000 annual visitors come to escape the heat. The cave is home to unique species, including the famous blind salamander, Proteus anguinus. Local authorities are collaborating with scientific organizations to preserve the cave's ecosystem.
