Peste un milion de euro falși, puși în circulație de o grupare din România. Bancnotele erau fabricate clandestin în Suceava
Three men have been indicted by DIICOT prosecutors for producing counterfeit euro banknotes in a clandestine printing operation in Suceava County, Romania. They allegedly circulated over one million euros in fake currency in Romania and Bulgaria. During searches, authorities found an additional 1.28 million euros in counterfeit notes. The group, which included an Italian citizen, operated from October 2025 until March 2026. The leader established the printing facility and procured materials for the counterfeit notes. Prosecutors have requested the maintenance of preventive detention and the confiscation of equipment used in the counterfeiting process. The case is being heard at the Suceava Tribunal.
