French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez announced that 402 individuals have been detained in connection with wildfires that have affected over 120,000 hectares this year. Among those detained, 156 are minors, with 36 already in custody. The arrests relate to both criminal acts and cases of negligence leading to the fires. France has recorded 14,540 fire incidents this year, with 90% attributed to human actions. Although the situation is improving, officials stress the need for continued vigilance due to favorable weather conditions for new outbreaks.
