Peste 90 de mineri de la Mina Vulcan, blocați voluntar în subteran

Over 90 miners from the Vulcan mine in Hunedoara County protested by refusing to surface due to salary reductions. The prefect of Hunedoara, Szell Lorincz, visited to mediate discussions between miners and company management. Union leader Alin Sîn stated that miners will remain underground until they receive firm guarantees, including from the Ministry of Energy. Their grievances include aligning salaries to the highest current levels and adhering to the collective labor agreement's hierarchy. The conflict stems from the transfer of workers from the closing Lupeni mine to Vulcan, resulting in a monthly income drop of about 300 lei. Two protesters required medical attention during the protest.
