In the first seven months of 2026, over 82,000 Romanians found jobs, primarily those over 45 years old. The National Employment Agency reported that 40,153 individuals in this age group were employed. Additionally, 20,323 of the hired individuals were classified as hard-to-employ. Most of the new hires had high school education, with significant numbers also holding vocational and university degrees. Bucharest led in job placements, followed by Iași and Constanța. Nearly 250,000 people sought assistance for job placement during this period.
