Over 6,900 individuals have been detained during student protests in France, with a significant majority being minors. Judicial proceedings have been initiated against 2,376 of those detained. The French government is responding to the protests by hiring around 3,000 teachers to address staffing shortages, a key demand from student unions. Education Minister Edouard Geffray assured that teachers will be contacted soon to start working. Additionally, a government platform for student complaints has received approximately 66,000 submissions, indicating active student engagement.
