Two trucks carrying over 6,300 pairs of counterfeit shoes were seized by police at the Isaccea customs during a routine check. The shoes, valued at 16.5 million lei, were discovered by border police and customs inspectors. The trucks, registered in Ukraine, were transporting women's shoes intended for a company in Ukraine. Authorities found that the shoes infringed on the intellectual property rights of well-known brands. The police have taken the merchandise for further investigation, and legal measures will be taken against those responsible for distributing counterfeit products.
