In Vicenza, Italy, the employment of individuals over 55 has significantly increased, tripling since 2008. The number of hires in this age group rose from 3,485 in 2008 to 11,370 in 2025, despite overall hiring remaining stable. Notably, there is also a rise in employment among those over 60. This trend coincides with an aging population and a decline in youth, as the percentage of residents over 65 has grown from 19.2% to 26.1%, while the number of young people under 25 has decreased by 11%.
