Peste 440 de mașini abandonate, identificate în Sibiu: unde sunt cele mai multe și câte au fost ridicate
The issue of abandoned cars in public areas remains a concern for local authorities in Sibiu, with ongoing parking space clearance campaigns. The management of these vehicles has undergone significant administrative changes this year. According to Mirela Gligore from the City Hall, the responsibility for managing abandoned cars will shift to the Local Police after July 1, 2026. So far this year, 442 abandoned vehicles have been recorded, primarily in specific neighborhoods. Of these, 291 have been removed by their owners, while 151 remain pending legal procedures for removal. The process can take from 20 days to several months, with only two cases currently contested by owners. As of 2026, 26 vehicles have been successfully removed and transported to storage.
