Over 3,000 properties will be expropriated for the Focșani-Brăila Expressway, with total compensation of 35.9 million lei. The expropriation decision was issued by the National Company for Road Investments on September 1, 2026, affecting 3,297 properties across 8,557,483 square meters. This project, part of Romania's investment plan, aims to connect key regions and includes various infrastructure features. The total contract value for the expressway construction is 4.29 billion lei, funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027, with a completion timeline of 42 months.
