In Bucharest, 242 children were treated for injuries from electric scooter accidents between March and August. Over a third required hospitalization, with about 10% admitted to Intensive Care due to severe injuries. Most patients, 61%, were aged 10 to 15, while 8% were under 10. Injuries varied from head trauma to orthopedic issues, necessitating treatment in various surgical departments. Notably, boys accounted for 70% of the cases, and adolescents appeared to handle scooters more cautiously than younger children.
