On Sunday, over 200 cyclists, including many children, successfully rode from Herăstrău to Băneasa Forest, highlighting the need for safer cycling routes in Bucharest. The event, organized by Hai cu Bicla and the Bucharest Natural Park Association, aimed to demonstrate how to reach the forest without a car. While the ride was escorted by police for safety, the lack of secure cycling paths on regular days poses challenges for families. Participants learned about biodiversity in the forest and advocated for its protection. The event emphasized the connection between urban access and forest conservation, with calls for the establishment of Băneasa Natural Park.
