Peste 20 de fermieri, inclusiv din Sibiu, construiesc o fabrică de ulei: investiția ajunge la 45 de milioane de euro / video
A group of 21 farmers in Transylvania is building an oil factory in Mihai Viteazu, Cluj County, with a total investment of 45 million euros. The facility will process 600 tons of seeds daily and utilize seed shells for energy production. Construction is led by the Agricultural Cooperative Podișul Transilvaniei, aiming to enhance farmers' profitability by processing their crops into oil and other products. The factory will cover 8.5 hectares and include silos, production spaces, and a feed depot. It will mainly process sunflower seeds, along with soy, rapeseed, and flax. The project is funded through EU grants, farmer contributions, and a loan from CEC Bank, with operations expected to start by April 2028.
