Despite concerns about dementia, misconceptions persist regarding its preventability. Scientific evidence suggests that addressing 14 modifiable risk factors could delay or prevent up to 45% of dementia cases. Alzheimer's, the most common form of dementia, primarily affects those over 65, with various risk factors including genetics and lifestyle choices. Recommended preventive measures include regular exercise, social engagement, and a balanced diet.
