Peste 114.000 de români sunt înscrişi în Registrul Naţional al Donatorilor Voluntari de Celule Stem Hematopoietice
The National Register of Volunteer Stem Cell Donors in Romania has registered over 114,000 donors, with 7,000 new registrations annually. The director emphasized the need for more people to join the registry, as 30% of patients lack compatible donors. The Romanian registry is linked to a global network, allowing access to over 44 million potential donors worldwide. In the first half of this year, 20 transplant procedures were conducted, highlighting the importance of increasing donor numbers to improve patient outcomes.
