Starting September 15, 2026, fees for driver's licenses, vehicle registration certificates, and provisional circulation authorizations will increase. The General Directorate of Driver's Licenses and Registrations announced the new rates, highlighting that payments made before this date will not be valid afterward. The driver's license fee will rise from 89 lei to 139 lei, while the vehicle registration certificate will increase from 49 lei to 76 lei. The provisional circulation authorization will cost 25 lei instead of 13 lei. Payments can be made via SelfPay terminals or online at Ghișeul.ro.
