Vlad Ioan Trip, a young wrestler from Oradea, received congratulations from Romania's Foreign Minister for winning a bronze medal at the U20 European Wrestling Championships in Skopje. He secured the medal in the 55 kg greco-roman category after defeating competitors from the Czech Republic and Moldova. The Minister highlighted that his achievement not only reflects personal success but also enhances Romania's image internationally. Trip also won a bronze medal at the U17 World Championships in Baku, marking a significant milestone for wrestling in Bihor. His coach praised this as the first World Championship medal for the region.
