Multiple searches were conducted at the European Parliament as part of an investigation by the European Public Prosecutor's Office targeting the Identity and Democracy group, previously associated with the far-right party Rassemblement National. The new group, 'Patriots', confirmed the searches took place in the former group's offices in Strasbourg and Brussels, asserting no legal continuity with the dissolved group.
