Percheziţii în România și alte 18 ţări europene în legătură cu o presupusă fraudă de 300 milioane de euro

On September 26, law enforcement across 19 European countries, including Romania, conducted raids related to a mobile phone fraud scheme causing losses of around 300 million euros. The European Public Prosecutor's Office reported that over 1,770 officials executed more than 160 searches, leading to the arrest of seven suspects in Austria, Germany, and Spain, including two organization leaders. The criminal groups sold over a million second-hand phones as new, resulting in significant VAT losses across several EU nations.
