Percheziţii în Caraş-Severin la membrii unei reţele de tip piramidal care transportau migranţi ascunşi în autotrenuri spre Germania

Six individuals aged between 25 and 50 are under investigation by DIICOT and police in Caraș-Severin for forming an organized crime group and human trafficking. They established a pyramid scheme to illegally transport migrants to Western Europe. On Saturday, police executed six search warrants in the region. The criminal activity involved recruiting, guiding, housing, and transporting migrants for illegal border crossings. Since 2023, the group has coordinated successive transports, hiding migrants in trucks heading to Hungary, Austria, and Germany. In August 2023, 60 migrants from various countries were discovered being smuggled into Romania by this network. Suspects are being questioned at DIICOT's local office.
