Percheziții EPPO în România: suspiciuni de fraudă de 7 milioane de euro la proiecte IT pentru primării și consilii județene

The European Public Prosecutor's Office conducted 19 searches in Romania related to alleged public procurement fraud involving EU-funded IT projects worth 7 million euros. Prosecutors suspect a network manipulated procedures to favor pre-selected suppliers. The investigation covers 29 projects financed by the EU's Recovery and Resilience Facility and the Operational Program for Administrative Capacity. Evidence suggests possible irregularities in consultancy documentation, with similarities indicating systematic reuse of materials. The EPPO has not disclosed the identities of those involved, and the operation is supported by various Romanian police units.
