DNA prosecutors conducted searches at the Timișoara Public Finance Administration regarding alleged corruption in tax control activities. Among those investigated is Andrei Varga, son of businessman Neluțu Varga. Investigators examined several offices and seized relevant documents. Dacian Ion Crainic, a former tax inspector and hospital manager, is also a suspect and has been taken for questioning in Bucharest. He is accused of bribery related to his tax control duties. The investigation is ongoing, and no official charges have been announced by DNA yet.
