Between July 30 and August 6, prosecutors conducted 18 searches in Suceava and Mureș counties related to illegal arms and ammunition offenses, as well as qualified smuggling. One person was placed under judicial control, and authorities seized an illegal hunting rifle, ammunition, over 6,000 contraband cigarettes, hunting trophies, and prohibited pyrotechnic materials. The searches took place in Cârlibaba, Borșa, and Vișeu de Sus, involving prosecutors, police, and gendarmes. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the criminal activities and all individuals involved.
