The European Public Prosecutor's Office conducted searches at the offices of the far-right group Identity and Democracy in the European Parliament, investigating potential fund misappropriation. The group, now known as Patriots for Europe, claims the investigation does not target them directly. The inquiry follows findings that ID misused €4.3 million from 2019 to 2024. PfE emphasizes there is no legal continuity with ID, asserting their non-involvement in the ongoing investigation.
