A document from Deputy Secretary of Defense Steve Feinberg set a three-week deadline for industry representatives to propose faster delivery plans. Feinberg criticized lengthy development cycles as unacceptable, emphasizing the need for reform in the procurement system. The CSIS reported significant reductions in U.S. missile stockpiles, with Patriot missiles dropping from over 2,300 to under 830, and THAAD interceptors decreasing from 452 to 278.
