Silvia Petre, president of the Timiș Pensioners Association, expressed concerns about the inability of many to afford basic necessities, especially with winter approaching. Economist Adrian Negrescu described the current economic situation as a form of "Ice Age," highlighting stagnation in investments and rising inflation. He warned that this winter could be the toughest in 15 years for many families, as costs for heating and other essentials continue to rise, exacerbating the financial strain on pensioners.
